The city tours or excursions with a Segway are a novelty in Trier for individuals or mini-groups. Only recently permitted in Rhineland-Palatinate, this unusual vehicle provides great fun for exploring the historical sights. Segways can be driven by anyone 15 and over (at least a motor scooter license is required) and weighing at least 99.2 lbs./45 kg or more.

On June 26, 2010, we're off and running! The Trier Antiquity Festival makes its appearance with the opera Nerone, which has as its subject the Roman emperor Nero. The second part of the festival is Oedipus / Antigone with an outstanding current dramatic production in the German-speaking area. Following these two series are the festival concert and a staged reading. Venue for all events is the Roman Amphitheater in Trier.
